So, this dream last night? I was Dean, and I was in high school. I was always getting in trouble with teachers, and I skipped my SATs (which were during the middle of a school day, for some reason). And now the dream's starting to get fuzzy, but I remember there being some other kid who I knew was a shapeshifter, and I couldn't just start a fight in the middle of school because then I'd get sent to the principal's office and he'd get away and turn into someone else. So I skipped the rest of school with this kid and some girl named Connie and possibly dorky little freshman Sammy. And this is the part where I'm starting to forget a lot of it, but I distinctly remember wandering around this little gift shop place and finding a George Harrison bobblehead and a crappy classic rock compilation CD.

And this is when it would be really nice to have a dream-recording machine, because that was a fun dream....

So. Finished Season 3 of Supernatural yesterday. So much for my plan of trying to space it out. Also, I'm surprised that I managed to watch three seasons of TV in a little over a week and a half. Now comes the difficult job of searching around on YouTube so I can watch season 4 without having to spend $40 on iTunes...

My three seasons of Supernatural got here on Wednesday -- I've already finished watching season one. Whee! And now I'm going to try to not watch several episodes a day, but I'm not sure how well it's going to work. Either way, me happy.

Okay, so [info]callmeliterator got me curious about Supernatural, and I've started Netflixing the first season. On disc two so far, and I like it, but I've also redeveloped a fear of the dark. :D It's half exciting, half terrifying, especially when your power goes off and you're in the middle of a shower. That happened to me yesterday. The night before I'd watched the second episode, with the Wendigo, and the third one, with the ghost in the lake who's drowning people. And so I'm in the shower and suddenly the light goes off and I'm all, "Oh, shit, now something's gonna either drown me or rip me to pieces. Great. Comebackonlightcomebackoncomebackon..."

So, yes, Supernatural. Brings back funny little bits of folklore class where I go, "Hey, I remember that story!" Also, Dean has a pretty car. Aaaaand, once again, I've got a brand new fandom to go crazy reading fic for. So I'm off to do that! Goodnight!

Oh noes!

I miss [info]wewriteinhell... Even if there were days that I didn't write at all, I still had the guilt about not getting my 500 words in, and that was a motivator in itself. Now I'm getting back into that habit of not writing and it's not good! Hmph.

First of all... school? DONE. Graduation? Friday. Woo and hoo!

Second? New Star Trek movie = <3
I've never even seen Star Trek before, but man, that was fun. (Kirk/Spock! Kirk/Spock!) Also, half the movie had me trying to figure out where I'd seen some actor before under all their make-up. Winona Ryder - scary old. Eric Bana - needs a little more green. Karl Urban - must be blond and bearded.

C: I had Ben and Jerry's phish food ice cream for dinner. OM. NOM. NOM.

Fourth, I've been up since 4:00 AM. Think I ought to go to bed.

So I got a Dreamwidth account code the other day, but I haven't set up an account yet, mostly because I'm trying to decide what it should be. I suppose the easiest thing is to just keep my same username, but I'm also not sure if/when I would move over there, and what the purpose of the blog would be. If it would be basically the same as this one, or if I'd try to go in a different direction.

Is anyone else doing the Dreamwidth thing? Got any suggestions?

*dances* I made a fanvid, I made a fanvid!

I'm so proud of myself. I made a Spuffy fanvid for a video project I had to do for class, and I absolutely love the way it turned out.

It's on YouTube if you want to watch it.

*dances some more*

Hey there, flist. I need your help.
I'm trying to make a Buffy music video for a school project, and I've never done one before. Right now all I've got to use is Windows Movie Maker, which I'm finding kind of sucks. (I was trying to just add clips in randomly, but it looks like I have to build the video in chronological order instead, which is frustrating when I'm trying to line things up with lyrics.) I also tried to download the trial of Adobe Premier, but I don't have enough RAM to run the program.

So do any of you make music videos, and if you do, which program do you use?
Thanks!

Halldor Laxness defies cataloging. At work, he's shelved under his first name, and the Library of Congress apparently has no Dewey number for him, so we can't figure out if he's in the right place or not. It's pretty funny... if you're a library page and havenolife.

At Barnes and Noble, there's a 500-piece puzzle of the Beatles White Album cover. Part of me is dying to do this puzzle. Another part of me thinks I'd go crazy if I tried. The crazy part of me really wants to go back and buy it.

Four research papers in five days is too much to ask of anyone. Come on, teachers, please, can't you all talk to each other and give me a break?

Four pages due tomorrow.
Five pages due tomorrow.
Eight pages due Wednesday.
Eight pages due Friday.

...So far I've got the four page one done. Go me?

I want this doll so badly. I just found him yesterday, but he's got such a beautiful face and I think he looks a little bit like a grown-up Hadrian. I love the third picture down the most.
Unfortunately, he's $250 just for the head, and then he'd have to share a body with Darcy for a long time because I don't have any other SD bodies just laying around. Also, with this looming need to start paying back student loans and buy myself health insurance, it's probably pretty silly of me to spend more money on dolls.
Still, I've got Gus, my Kid Delf Bory, just sitting in his box in my closet because I never bonded with him and haven't sold him yet. If I could make myself sell him, then maybe I could justify buying a Shou-Ryu head, but at the same time, I'm not as much into the BJD hobby as I used to be.
*sigh* Money is evil...

One of my friends is co-modding a community called [info]wewriteinhell. It's sort of a mini-NaNoWriMo, starting up again on the 20th with the goal of writing 500 words a day. So check it out if you're like me and are desperate for motivation to write!

Hee. My folklore teacher sings in class...
I'll admit, that takes some courage, but still, I've never had a teacher actually sing in class before.

I did something to my shoulder the other day, slept on it weird, maybe. And now it's incredibly sore and it hurts to move it a lot. To add to that, I'm still recovering from a bad cold, and every time I cough, the muscles in my back move and hurt my shoulder. Dammit...

Anybody know any tricks for relieving shoulder pain?

Quick, everyone! Circuit City's going out of business and their DVDs are cheap!
I've just added to my DVD collection:
Regarding Henry
Hot Fuzz
The Birdcage
Aliens: Special Edition
The Iron Giant

...No one can ever accuse me of being stuck in one genre.

Now watch me spend the next fifteen minutes trying to get them all out of the packaging.

So I was watching Lars and the Real Girl last night, and my god, it was like a Queer as Folk mini-reunion! Chris Hobbs and Tracy from the Big Q were in the same scene together. I kept expecting more people to start popping up. Is there a shortage of actors in Canada or something? :D

I've been sick for two weeks with this really annoying cough. So I finally admitted I probably wasn't going to get better on my own, and went to the doctor's office. Now, I don't know why this happens, but it almost always does -- my symptoms seem to disappear as soon as I'm in the office. It's the most aggravating thing, because for the rest of the day, I'm busy coughing every few minutes, but when I'm talking to the doctor, no cough at all. "Um, yeah, it's been going on for a few weeks, and I'm pretty miserable..." said while not sounding sick at all... Is my horrible cold suddenly shy or what?
