This journal is mostly for fanfic/fandom musings, bjds, or occasionally the odd real life post. Because of all the trauma so early in life, Hadrian developed dissociative identity disorder and was sent to live in a mental institution. He has at least two separate personalities. Sometimes he's very normal and happy and acts his age, other times he becomes very withdrawn and clingy and behaves more like a young child. He also gets panic attacks sometimes. After almost a decade of living in the mental institution, Darcy was allowed to become Hadrian's legal guardian and Hadrian left the mental institution and lives with his brother now. He also has a boyfriend named Daemon (who belongs to sharpietears). His brother, Hadrian, was sent to live with a different family, separating Darcy from the only family he had left. He only got to visit Hadrian a few times during the decade that they were separated. He had a fairly boring childhood after that, never really bonding with his foster family. As soon as he turned 18, he inherited what his parents had left for him, and left home to buy an apartment on his own. Determined to get his brother back, he tried several times to become Hadrian’s legal guardian. Finally, after a few years, Darcy was permitted to take Hadrian from the mental institution where he had been living (Hadrian has dissociative identity disorder and his foster family didn’t want to take care of him), and Hadrian moved in with Darcy. Now they live together and Darcy takes care of his brother. Because of the inheritance that their parents left them, Darcy doesn’t have to work full-time, but he does play bass in a band. Most of the time, though, he’s at home helping Hadrian adjust to living in the real world again.
